Mosaic Tile Dreams

I am re-ordering my dreams
into mosaic tiles.

They form shapes
like trees and roadside fences
that keep things in.

There is a yellow disc
that I make into a moon,
and tiny pink hearts
that give the picture more color.

I put a wolf in the distance
where he seems less scary
and shadows will make it harder 
for him to catch me (I hope).

Tiny white spots
I want people to recognise
as stars. They are so pretty.

And there I am,
by the roadside
sitting on the fence,
beneath the moon and stars
and far from all wolf-like creatures
that stand behind shadows,
where they can't see the sky
like I do.
